Dora and the Yellow Strawstack

Tribute to Another Time

You are reminded of another time whenever you travel the highways of Saskatchewan. Threshing machines dot the landscape standing in the corner of a field, surveying the time that was, a time when these machines were essential to the success of the harvest. But time has passed them by, being replaced by more modern and efficient machines. However, every time I pass one of these icons I’m reminded of the story my Mother told me. Alas, she, too, is gone, but the story remains. This book, Dora and the Yellow Strawstack, is a tribute to my Mother, for had she not survived her disappearance into a strawstack created by a threshing machine, I would not be here to tell you this story. The story will be published sometime in the spring of 2024.
